5...errr...6 Tips to Keep your Diapers Stink-free

1. RINSE after each use! Don't soak--just rinse out until the water runs clear and then wring and put in your pail, bag, or basket.

2. STRIP once a month (or as needed) - I LOVE RLR for this. I also have a new love, The Laundry Tarts Strip It!

3. INVEST in a diaper sprayer. After the EBF poos, you will appreciate having this tool to combat chunky poo. I've heard liners are great too, but I don't want to put anything crunchy against my sons bum & it's an added cost/waste material. But, it IS an option!

4. SUN!!! The most amazing defense. I have a few stains that the sun hasn't gotten out yet, but I haven't tried THAT hard either. Make sure diapers are at least damp when you hang them out, the sun works better then.

5. NO ADDITIVES! Find a detergent that works for you and stick with it! Fabric softener is lame for diapers. Stain removers don't work as well as the sun and can damage your dipes. Lemon juice is okay according to SOME manufacturers, but only sparingly.

6. WASH regularly! Okay, I know I said 5, but I've realized that if I just wash every other day, religiously, I get better results than if I wait for that 3rd day (or accidentally don't get to the diaper laundry before bedtime!) This may actually be the most important tip!

How To Add A Prize Photo To Your Rafflecopter Form

Alright, I've tried a few times and have been asked a few times, so I thought I'd make a very short and easy tutorial on HOW to ADD a PHOTO to your RAFFLECOPTER FORM!

Let's say your prize is a Cloth Diaper and your bogus photo link is http://photopail.clothdiaper1.com

Click on "Add a prize" and use this: PRIZE TITLE HERE<br><br><img src="LINK TO PHOTO HERE">

Where the BOLD print is, replace the prize with CLOTH DIAPER and the link to photo here with YOUR PHOTO URL.

Simple as that! Seriously! :0) Now, you have a fancy photo to go with your great giveaway!

My Wedding Dinner Re-created

We got married last year, June 18th, 2011. It's been a little over a year, and I made this meal a little closer to the anniversary date, but I didn't ever blog it (so it didn't happen, right!?)

Here is our wedding menu:
Lemon Chicken
Green Beans
Rosemary Red Potatoes
Garden Salad
Fresh Dinner rolls

Here is what I made for our anniversary:

Lemon Chicken
Green Beans
Red Potatoes (with rosemary and many other spices)

So, I didn't have the fancy salad or rolls. But, pretty close to an authentic re-enactment. And, I even emulated the caterer's chicken REALLY well! I've never made fancy sauces or glazes for chicken (or anything.) I've not been one to take notes while watching Rachel Ray. I don't watch Food Network either. So, I'm pretty impressed.

The potatoes.

Here is our modest dinner setting, complete with my fresh-picked flowers from my husband!!

The meal, up close:
Photobucket

This is not the healthiest meal in the world, but it was sure yummy! I thought I'd make it look really chef-like by splattering sauce all over the plate---it just looked messy.

And this is the chicken dish.
Photobucket

It was made with heavy cream. One time a year I can afford to eat this rich in calories. Once a year. The problem is, it was SO good that I want to make it once a week! Although, it's also an investment meal, since I rarely have things like heavy cream, fresh lemons and whole milk on hand.

It was delicious and romantic (as romantic as it can be with a toddler!) and even though it wasn't exactly a 'healthy' meal with all of that heavy cream and butter, it was a nice treat! We rarely eat like this, so once in a while, you just gotta have your cake and eat it too! Oh, and eat it we did! Whoever said to us "the cake will be gross after one year no matter what" LIED! We loved every bite! Truly.

Shakin' It Up - Herbalife Rocks!

Most days are Very Berry for me now! And, if you didn't know, that's a very GOOD thing! I have been making Herbalife shakes for a few weeks and I think I have mastered this one! If you are ready to try Herbalife and you don't even want to waste another moment reading about it, give Dave a shout and he'll set you up, and as you're enjoying YOUR shake, you can come back and catch up on your reading!!! Remember, you have 1 more day to save 20% on products from Dave!

I apologize, I took photos 1/2 way through the shake! I forgot to share with all of you!

Here's what my daily eats look like:

Breakfast: Herbalife Shake

Snack: Premeir Protein Bar - Double Chocolate or Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch

Lunch: Herbalife Shake (or a sandwich & fruit or wild rice or something similar)

Snack: 2 string cheese, glass of milk

Supper: venison, small red potato, green beans from the garden

Snack: fruit or a small protein bar (Nature Valley 10g Dark Chocolate & Almond) or my 2nd Shake

So, I've been mostly sticking to Herbalife's Wild Berry Formula 1 mix paired with their Herbalife Protein Mix. A few scoops of each along with a 1/2 cup of mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries) and a teaspoon of sugar free vanilla pudding, combined with ice and I'm all set!! The shake is GIANT and I really do feel satisfied for a few hours. Plus, it's totally safe to share some with my little toddler! So, no more making several different breakfasts! My husband even likes Herbalife---which is saying A LOT, since he is naturally lean and eats about 5 cups of ice cream each night right before bed. He is NOT a health food junkie at all and he thinks my shakes are great!

I'm still down about 7 lbs now, after a little over 2 weeks of the program. Some days I only replace one meal. Some days I let myself eat 2 chocolate chip cookies or something. To lose fast, you have to be a little more strict OR workout a lot. I like to enjoy life a bit and have a toddler that keeps me from working out as much as I'd like, so this seems to work!! SLOW & STEADY!!

I have branched out with the shakes and tried making a Cherry Limeade and a Strawberry Daquiri shake, but Very Berry is still by Very Favorite so far! Stay tuned for more recipes and reports on what tastes good and how it's all working!

While it doesn't look like Emeril or Giada visited my kitchen, this is pretty healthy and balanced. Eating a little cleaner helps, combined with my Herbalife plan to keep me on track!

Something to consider, or as they say, Food For Thought....

"A Membership" that you get at a local club consists of a shake, an aloe shot, and a tea and runs you about $6.50 each time you order it. By buying your products you can save quite a bit of money making them at home! Plus, you don't even have to leave your house! I sometimes just put the aloe powder in with my shake too! Dave can certainly help you out on picking out some "Core" products like what I've been using and save you money if you HAVE been using Herbalife but have been getting shakes at a club. If you order by the end of August, you'll save 20% on your products! That's a huge savings on top of that which you will save by making a delicious shake at home!

With that extra dough you can buy other booster products like "Cell-u-loss" or maybe save it for the new jeans you'll be needing soon!! If you want to look into getting your core products and starting your nutritious path to healthy weigh management, contact Dave today! He can really help you to figure out what might work best for your needs!

Rumpkinz Cloth Diaper Review

I've been stalking Rumpkinz stocking auctions and Facebook updates for a few months, well, closer to a year now. Pretty much since I started cloth diapering and heard about the awesome embroidered-bums that come from a friendly and talented WAHM named Jeanette! I loved seeing the new customs that she would have hot off the embroidery line and the photos of all the fun auction diapers that are available each Wednesday for a few lucky bidders!

Jeanette was kind enough to let me do a review of a Rumpkinz diaper -- the one I chose is a combination of blue minky and the print "Zoology." It is snuggly soft and I was tickled when it arrived in the mail!

Here is my fluff mail outside of it's package, just waiting to be donned!!

I LOVE when a WAHM or company does something to adorn their package or make it more fun! It really adds a personal touch! Something as simple as a little tissue paper and a fun sticker makes my day! (Compared to just taking a diaper out of plastic or just the mailing envelope itself! Kudos for taking the extra step to make me feel special, Jeanette!

And, here is my new Rumpkinz diaper!!

The diaper is snapped down with rise snaps and is unprepped, fresh out of the tissue paper. When I was talking about 'going the extra mile,' I was even more pleased to have a little minty treat surprise along with care instructions and a Rumpkinz business card. I find the care instructions SO helpful and an important step that is often overlooked by diaper-makers that aren't large operations.

How It All Shakes Out:
User-friendliness - 5
Quality - 5
Customer Service - 5
Price - 5
Daytime - 5
Night-time - 4.8
When All Is Said and Done: 4.9

Here is the contrast of the Zoology print with a coordinating blue minky! Love it!

The diapers are made by hand, by Jeanette with great material. Not only does she have a huge selection of prints, she uses really high quality materials. She can also make custom embroidered diapers with nearly anything on the bum. Definitely take a moment to check out her gallery of all of the creative fluffy fun that is being sported around the world!

And, the sign of creativity & quality--the Rumpkinz tag! Cozy Koala!

Jeanette was really helpful and friendly in communicating back and forth. This means more to me than the diaper most of the time! Small businesses that are worth supporting have great customer service and Rumpkinz is no exception. The price for her creativity and innovation (and the face that she can make you almost any custom under the sun) earns Rumpkinz full points in the price category too!
Here is the light blue fleece that lines the inside--the material that touches the baby is super soft!

If you want to participate in an auction (to be eligible to bid on the beautiful diapers up for grabs) you need to register a username & account on the Rumpkinz site. There is a new auction next Wednesday, so you might as well register NOW so that you're ready for it! Go here to do so.

Here is a close-up of the print--it's adorable! So many animals! I love this print!

I mentioned that this diaper was pretty plush and cushy. It was a wonderful, fabulous, super-effective day-time and even naptime diaper, as-is, with the included insert. As with most pocket diapers at this stage in the game (16 months and counting) we need to double up and use things like bamboo and hemp to get us the extra hours. Even then, we generally end up using fitteds and wool at night. But, even though the diaper is super squishy, it's also ultra trim! I don't see nearly as much "cloth diaper butt" from these diapers as I do some other brands and WAHM-made pockets.

Here you can tell the PUL used is nice and thick--great quality.

I must also point out that I have a big toddler. He has thinned out, but he's still tall and pretty stocky. The Rumpkinz Zoology diaper looks cute and fits comfortably, we still have a couple snaps to go before we max it out! So, the diaper also has longevity, which is an important factor for our family.

This is the view of the pocket where the insert (diaper comes with one organic hemp/cotton insert) is stuffed in the back.

Jeanette also makes custom blankets, kids' aprons and tote bags, in addition to her amazing custom cloth diapers! This is one talented WAHM! She is also one to have a good time -- she hosts photo contests, diaper giveaways and of course, the weekly auction!!

This is a diaper that has become near and dear to me! I love the fun and funky print and the fit my little guy gets from the generous spread of the wings and leg gussets. He is a 27 lb. toddler and still has plenty of room to breathe in this diaper. It's soft and smooth on his fair skin and easy to stuff for dad's big hands! We love our Rumpkinz! You can enjoy a WAHM-made diaper that Jeanette will custom embroider, OR you can stalk an auction! All of the fun can be found at the Rumpkinz website.

Chicken Soup for the Soul - Say Hello to A Better Body

I just read 3 Chicken Soup for the Soul books that were not as timely for me as the last ones that I had read, but what I liked is that in EVERY Chicken Soup book I can find at least one take away message!  I cannot wait to dig into some more of this great series! I had kind of forgotten about them, since the release of Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II -- back in the nineties maybe? It's been a while, but I'm glad I rekindled my love of reading and am learning a few things along the way!!

You can enjoy them too, here is a bit about the books and where to get 'em! Tell your friends to visit my blog, become part of the Adventures of Mommyhood fun, and the more traffic I get visiting will allow me to do some fun giveaways for these great books, and, the more chances you'll have to win!

From the Publisher:

"It can be hard for women over 50 to lose weight and stay fit. Bodies change and old strategies don’t seem to work anymore. But readers can find encouragement and practical advice in this new book that combines inspiring Chicken Soup for the Soul stories written just for this book and accessible leading-edge medical information from Harvard Medical school assistant professor and weight management specialist Dr. Suzanne Koven."

Now, obviously, I'm not over 50--not even close. But, there are great tips and ideas to keep in mind no matter what age you are. And, it's NEVER too late to start getting in better shape! I heard a great quote that pertains to exercise: "A year from now, I will wish I had started yesterday!" So, do it! Read this and start, post haste!

You can get your own from Amazon. I recommend it to any woman who wants to read about how to better her life, body and soul! Enjoy!

The next great Chicken Soup book that I had the pleasure of reading is Chicken Soup for the Soul: Messages From Heaven

From the Publisher:

"The 101 true and miraculous stories in this book of signs and messages from beyond show that death may take away the physical presence of our loved ones, but not their spirit. This book is for everyone, religious or secular, as regular people share their amazing experiences with the other side."

I really like these kinds of "it happened to me" kind of intuitive stories where the people involved just know it was a message from a loved one. They make you feel good inside, cheesy as that sounds. Plus, the stories are really short, so this book is an easy page-turner or great for when you only have a few moments to steal away.

Buy a copy of your own from Amazon. You'll like it no matter what age you are if these kinds of stories delight you as they do me.

Lastly for the month, I read Chicken Soup for the Soul: Say Goodbye to Back Pain!: How to Handle Flare-Ups, Injuries, and Everyday Back Health.

From the Publisher:

"Almost everyone experiences back pain at some point in their lives. Many people suffer far more than they need to and are looking for help. This book offers that help, combining inspiring and comforting Chicken Soup for the Soul stories written just for this book and accessible leading-edge medical advice from noted physical medicine and rehabilitation expert Dr. Julie Silver of Harvard Medical School."

It worried me a little that I was identifying with what I would normally call "old person topics" - but, motherhood has shed light on many things for me, one of the main ones being my body's cues about things that hurt, being out of shape (which causes a lot of my back pains) and preventative measures for pains. I soon realized this book was anything BUT "just for old folks" -- it can be applied to anyone's life and those who do pay attention to it are probably popping fewer pain relievers for it!

All of the Chicken Soup for the Soul seried enjoyed from Amazon or from your local friendly bookseller! These are also great books to sit down and read as a family or aloud to a kiddo!

Cheribums Diaper Balm Review and Giveaway - Sponsor Spotlight

I'd like to present to you today, for your babies' bum comfort, Cheribums! The maker of this all-natural diaper rash solution is a mama to 5 kiddos of her own, so you can really trust that the product was well-tested!

Cheribums is one of my wonderful sponsors for the Accessorize Your Stash event! So, read all about the bum paste here and then enter to win some on the event post!

Here is what the sample bum paste I received looks like!

I like the smell of the bum paste. It's not perfume-y like Johnson and Johnson or other "brand name" retail baby products. It smells more like shea or cocoa butter. Something very light and subtle. I also really liked that it "glides" on without being too sticky or greasy.

Ingredients Include: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive OIl, Chamomile, Lavender, Grapseed extract

Then, when your cloth diapering friends come over, they know what you're using on the bum! I do like squish-tubes better than jars usually, especially at this stage in the game with a wiggly toddler, since it just speeds things up. But, I like the jar because it helps you to not use the paste in excess and you can use it again--to be even more earth friendly! A small amount really goes a long way! I have used only about 1/4 of the paste, using it multiple times each day and I've been using it for about a month!

This is a cloth diaper safe, green all-natural bum paste! A 2 oz. jar of the original Bum Paste is only $5.99 on the Cheribums store website! You can also get a lavender scent that is a 4 oz. jar for $9.99! We really liked this bum paste for mild to moderately red bum issues and for preventative measures like during night-time and naptime. For really bad outbreaks (which are super rare in this household) we still use the old fall-back of Desitin with prefolds and covers. But, for everyday use, a bum paste like Cheribums is especially nice for working with our beloved cloth diapers.

Cheribums carries all sorts of parenthood products! You can find a complete stocking at the Cheribums website by clicking the hyperlink. Not only can you buy great products and support a WAHM, you can also find out about cloth diapers, cloth diaper parties, and other green mama options for all of your adventures in parenting!
So, go straight over right now and BUY some for your babies OR if you can stand to wait and take a gamble, try to WIN some by going to the Accessorize Your Stash event post and entering!

Woolzies Dryer Ball Review and Giveaway

Woolzies are awesome. Haven't heard of them? They are dryer balls of course! The perfect accessory for any cloth diaper stash!! (But, they are also so economical, green, and efficient for all of your laundry needs, even if you don't cloth diaper!) Woolzies is one of my FABULOUS and FUN sponsors for the Accessorize Your Stash Giveaway Hop!! Make sure to check out the entire giveaway (and hop around to other blogs, too!) and enter to win some Woolzies through the link at the bottom of this post!

Wool dryer balls entered my life in April of last year and ever since, I've just been so thankful for them! There are SO many reasons why I love dryer balls! Woolzies are SUPER accessories for laundry time!!! So,stick around, learn some awesome facts about them and try for a chance to win a set for yourself! If you just can't wait, you can buy them here.

Cool facts:
  • speed up dry time
  •  they save money
  • they soften laundry
  • they are cloth diaper safe
  • eliminate waste of dryer sheets
  • reusable
  • long-lasting
  • renewable resource
  • chemical-free
Woolzies are bigger than a lot of the dryer balls you see on Etsy and other online vendors. Not only are they bigger, each box of Woolzies contains SIX dryer balls!! That is enough to notice about a 25% decrease in the drying time of a normal load of laundry. You know what that means? Savings on the environment, your pocketbook, and the life of your appliances!! And, the SIX balls are yours for less than $36, which is roughly a little less than $6/ball, a savings of about $2 on average, compared to other companies and shops where you pay around $8 PER ball. I think i'ts AWESOME that you get 6---that's the perfect number to really make a difference in your drying time!

I also think that plain, white, unscented dryer balls are the best. We had some that were scented with essential oils and a fragrance or some kind and I remember having to try to keep certain balls for JUST cloth, since only some were safe. Then, some that had colored wool felted onto them started fraying and the colored fibers would get all tangled in my laundry and diapers. These haven't lost their integrity AT ALL in the month and a half that I've been using them! They are a great size and I love them!

Other perks include the decrease in static and wrinkles in clothing, living a more chemical-free life, and knowing that you are doing something great for the environment. Woolzies are made from 100% New Zealand wool. They are also a fine solution to anyone with wool irritations--you won't have trouble with Woolzies, according to their website information. I don't have a problem with wool, but I do have sensitive skin and we haven't had any complications with these or any dryer balls and our fair-skinned family! We dry almost everything on the line, outside, especially in the summer months, but we DO love the dryer balls even then, since we just slip the crunchy laundry from the line in the dryer for 2-3 minutes to soften them up. Works wonders!

I didn't even know dryer balls existed before using cloth diapers, having a child, and trying to green up my life! Now, after being involved in so many mommy forums and green living groups, I feel like there are so many areas to green up and save money! Wool dryer balls are a great way that EVERYONE can help (and everyone can SAVE!)  You don't have to be a cloth diaper user at all to benefit from them!

Do you think you'll love them? BUY SOME HERE! It's simple! No decisions about colors, scents or anything else! Just order a green box or quality Woolzies!! Have you lost your old dryer balls? Using plastic ones and you'd like to switch to wool? Are you old ones destroyed by cats, kids or use? Enter to win my giveaway package, for the Accessorize Your Stash prize package by clicking here!!

My Multivitamin Rocks! And my Cell Activator Helps!

Today I want to highlight my multivitamin, cell activator, and shaker cup! I know that sounds kind of boring and self explanitory, right?  BUT a good vitamin is anything but boring. And I know most of you have heard of a cell activator, so that's something new. And the shaker cup? It's just plain cool! And useful!

The vitamins that Herbalife carry give me a noticable energy boost! You actually take them 3 times each day for optimal results, instead of just once. As you go through the day, your body takes what it needs and eliminates the rest. So, if you keep putting it back in, you'll get the most out of your multivitamin. I take mine with my shakes or a snack, but I haven't had any issues with the vitamins making me sick, like some do. Your pee should be bright yellow while taking these, so don't be alarmed when it is!!

Dave recommended a Formula 3 Cell Activator with the multivitamin to really enhance the body's ability to "soak up" all the nutrients from the shakes and the multivitamin. It's like the Cell Activator gets the assist for the goal, ya know? This is also taken in the capsule form, twice each day with a meal, snack or shake as well.

A multivitamin supports you in healthy weight management--you aren't being deprived of anything! In fact, you get vitamins, minerals and some herbs in this Formula 2 Multivitamin. It is also for healthy bones and immunity enhancement. They even have Folic acid and are safe for pregnant and nursing women--with your physician's consultation, of course!*

So, I've been drinking shakes. Every day. Taking my multivitamin and my Cell Activator at least once but usually twice each day. I drink the tea more often than what is recommended, but it's so good! I did try the PEACH flavor the other day too, and it's great! I always drink it cold, but there IS the option of drinking it hot too. I started all of this about a week and a half ago and no lie, I'm feeling great. I have lost 6 lbs.

I have been going to Zumba, walking more (parking as far as I can, when I can from the stores, etc.) I'm conscienciously making every attempt I can to eat cleaner and move more. Herbalife is just a really good way for me to make sure that I'm getting lots of nutrients, and still getting to indulge in something really tasty! Herbalife has started to give me that edge--a routine that I can stick to, I can make myself (or conveniently buy while in the city shopping), and I REALLY DO love the taste of it. I generally drink berry flavored smoothies and this is so refreshing for the summer months!

My new SHAKER CUP has been great for several reasons--it measures my intake. I use it like a water bottle and keep it in my car all the time, measuring and documenting my water intake. It can be used if I visit a Herbalife club and buy a shake, aloe, and tea membership that day. This means it's more GREEN, since I don't use the disposable cups! It's also really handy for making my tea at home, I just toss in the powder, fill with water and shake!

Have you visited Dave's Facebook page and sent a like his way yet? You could get a sweet SHAKER CUP like mine! And, all product is 20% off for a very limited time!! Like 9 more days! So, if your riding the fenceline, make the commitment. I'm super glad I did!

#MMM err...Tuesday that is! Welcoming new hosts!

Hey all!

MMM was a favorite part of my weekly blogging routine. It went really well until August hit and all hell broke loose. I had actually committed to writing the post, every Monday (or Sunday night) and posted for at least 15 weeks straight! Phew! But, August left me haggard and harried and I kind of fell off the face of the blogosphere!

Lori, our host from The Gnome's Mom has been livin' a pretty crazy, amazing, busy, adventurous lifestyle as well! So we have 2 new hosts of the hop, and I would like to thank them for taking over this cool hop but also tell Lori thanks for starting it! :)

I will try to keep posting. As my kiddo gets older, it gets hard to meet the "fun deadlines" like these hops, and they are unfortunately the first to get 'the axe' when I pare down my priorities as I schedule my month. So, I hope to join in. Hopefully on Monday next time too! But I just wanted to get in on this week, to let all of you know that changes are happening.

We in our household are enjoying cooler temps and the promise of autumn. I'm loving my Herbalife shakes each day. I'm kind of addicted. I've started running again, albeit slowly. I'm part of the Fall in Love with Handmade Giveaway Hop coming September 1st and the Accessorize Your Stash Giveaway Hop coming Friday!! All of my blogger attentions have been focused on these areas.

I also start subbing again in the school districts starting in September. I'm excited for the change of seasons. My boy is talking up a storm. I'm loving our new communications! He is so darn smart! I ask him things and he totally understands. The big brains of such little humans are amazing!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Glad to update you quickly between nap and errand, but the cry of an awakening toddler is chiming....

SuperUndies!!! Review of Trainers

SuperUndies are super absorbent trainers for your little ones that are nearing or at the stage that you'd like to see them start potty training. We chose to review Medium Night-time trainer in the color Moss Monster. You can buy one of these great night-time (and all-around) diapering & potty training diapers from the SuperUndies website for under $30!! That's a great price for a long-lasting product!

Here is a one-size pocket next to the SuperUndies Night-time trainer--to show relative size.

This cool "SU" tag tells you that you have SuperUndies!!

And here is the bum-view!

So, what does the SuperUndies name buy you? Here's a run-down of what a Night Time diaper is composed of:
INNER fabric, which is the part that touches your little one, is made of a smooth poly-Lycra blend. Microfiber terry cloth is what makes up the INNER part of the diaper. The Moss Monster colored OUTER fabric is made from waterproof PUL. The Leg elastic is a water-resistant anti-pill fleece material. You can find all the details of this fantastic night-time diapering solution on the product page at the SuperUndies website!

Are you unsure about potty training? Overwhelmed by the options out there? SuperUndies has a pretty extensive collection of potty training videos to check out! I love this one that compares and contrasts Pull-On versus Pocket style options! There are so many videos to learn about training, diapering and having success and maybe even some ease with it all for your family!

Here is a "top view" looking inside the pair of SuperUndies!

How It All Shakes Out:
Daytime: 4.5
Nighttime: 4.9
Quality: 5
Ease: 4.5
When All Is Said and Done: 4.8

So, how do they rate with our family? Pretty great! I gave a few points off for Daytime, because they are intended for night time and are pretty bulky because they are beefed up for long night protection. Nighttime, these were really good--but as I said, we are so spoiled with wool that nothing can really touch it. BUT, for microfiber, this is the bomb! As for quality, they get a solid 5. We've worn, washed, and dried these many times now and they are still lookin' good. The stitching is really solid. The fabric is thick and sturdy. The elastic gives but not to the point of letting anything out! These are really great quality, especially for the price. We also really love the color combinations! The ease of use was super once they were tucked and assembled, but my husband had a tough time figuring out how to get the insert back into the shell once it agitated out after a cleaning, so even though I thought it was easy, folks that are not familiar with cloth or dads and daycare may think it's a little cumbersome. Overall, we love this diaper for long naps, travel, and nighttime if we're not using wool. We are just starting to get to the potty training phase in our lives, and I think these trainers will be an asset to having success! I hear that kids feeling like they have "big boy/girl" undies on is really important and these look like real undies--but they absorb! So, I think SuperUndies are pretty super!

Don't forget to 'Like' SuperUndies on Facebook!

And Mr. Woofles is helping me out to show the fit of this diaper. The dog is roughly 2 feet long.

So there you have it! Quality materials and oh-so comfy goodness for your little one to either have dry nights when used as a diaper OR have dry nights when potty training--and feeling like they get to wear 'big kid' undies!!

The More You Drink, The More You Shrink!

Alright guys, as promised, I'm bringing you an insider glimpse of an amazing Herbalife product today...

Herbal Tea Concentrate
raspberry flavor

Here is the delicious tea mix!
I seriously may need an intervention.

This awesome drink is refreshing, can be enjoyed hot or cold (I prefer cold) and gives you energy--just like coffee or soda from the caffeine within, but it also BURNS calories because it has the thermogenic benefits of Green Tea!*

So, I drink a few cups each day. Great flavor! I am really in love with it -- one day I had 4 cups without really meaning to! I just kept going back for more! So, I keep track now, along with what I eat for the day & how much water I drink!!

The tea comes in other flavors, I just chose Raspberry. You can also get Peach, Original, and Lemon. The Raspberry flavor has only 5 calories per serving! It also has 85mg of caffiene. I went caffiene free while pregnant (well, not 100% - I did eat chocolate!) but that is for you and your doctor to decide! Otherwise, if caffiene is not a limiting factor for you, this drink is the bomb!

I also really like that this drink is instant. You can take a small amount of the powder with you to work in a baggie if you'd like! Just 1/2 tsp (or more if you want it stronger) will make a delicious drink on the go! This tea is unsweetened, but it really has a great natural flavor! I haven't tried the other 3 varieties, but Raspberry is delish! You can opt to add a sweetener!

Even though I'm loving my shakes, this may be my favorite Herbalife product! One cup can help to burn around 80 calories for you! I know I'd rather have some tea that works in my favor than soda that goes the other direction! The only thing I do wish is that it came in a larger container! I have not even made a dent in this jar, but I do know it will go fast since it's so yummy!

Don't forget! Dave can hook you up with all the answers to your burning questions, products you want to order and try for yourself, and pretty much any Herbalife-related stuff! He's also hosting a sweet promotion right now on his Facebook page! Click on over there and get in on it! Dave likes to drink the tea with some H3O to really get energized and motivated! You could win some great product to try! 20% off all products right now! But hurry--the deal is only going until the end of the month! Even if you ONLY buy this tea to boost your fat burning, it's a great time to save 20%!! You could also win a free shaker cup! Go find out how now!

Wittlebee Children's Clothing Program

This is a really fun and interactive way of clothing your child. Some of you have probably heard of it, some not. Here is a bit about it!! Wittlebee is located in Southern California and is a kids clothing club. My son is too young to appreciate getting clothes in the mail fully (and maybe it's just cooler for a girl to anticipate!) but for older kids, it's exciting to get new things and mail!
This is on top of every box. It's exciting mail!!!

For me, living 26 miles from ANY city and living about 140 miles from GOOD city shopping, this is a great option for clothing for my little dude that is fashionable, affordable, and easy!

Wittlebee is a modern program that is monthly, featuring full outfits in a box, fully styled and up-to-the-moment with the best quality and affordability in children's clothing!

Here is the box! Eek! I could hardly wait to open it!

If you'd like to learn more, or order a box to try out for your kiddos, please, remember, you can use my special member link to get $10 off your purchase!! The folks at Wittlebee provided me with the link to pass on the great deal to you! You can create a style profile to help the personal stylists get the best box sent out to you, to suit the needs and likes of you and your lovies!

A little bee told me... The box lid tells a bit about Wittlebee...and the founder--Sean, a SUPER nice guy who I've worked with a few times with great results! So friendly!

There is also the option to view a few sample boxes--a great way to see what you will be buying!

Your customized box of clothes arrives at your door about a week after you talk to a stylist (though you don't HAVE TO talk to a stylist) to help answer any question you might have. Every box contains about $100 in retail value of clothes. You’ll receive a new box of clothes every month. You can pause or cancel your boxes ANYTIME!!

Ya'll already know that I love 'extra' touches! The bright tissue is so fun & the kiddos love getting stickers!! Look at the wide array of outfits!

For me, this program means saving about $40 on gasoline costs to get to the stores, the headache of traffic, and crabby travels! It also saves me about $20 in snacks and lunches for the day, since the trip would take me all day---2 hours drive time ONE WAY and then the shopping/trying on time. It also saves me fringe costs of being in a large mall -- like $150 of extra purchases that I would make "since I'm there." This includes clothes for me (that I don't need!) and maybe a toy or book or something -- that I also don't need! It may include a coffee drink at Starbucks or a smoothie from Orange Julius. Either way, I know a trip out of town for shopping is expensive. Much more so than a box of clothes, styled to our liking, delivered to our home. It's fun to shop sometimes, but for the most part, I'd rather have someone else do it. It save me money in the long-run.

Here is the spread! We received 4 shirts and 3 shorts as well as a pair of pants that didn't make the pic since they were ON!!

Today, I bought ONE OUTFIT on 30% clearance at Target for $10.00. ONE outfit. The original price was like $14.99. Target, Kmart, and Walmart pretty much sum up the shopping opportunities that are brick and mortar (save for the 'tourist' gift shops and boutiques) for any children's clothing in my town. The next hub for any shopping variety greater than that is a 60+ minute drive ONE-WAY. So, for $39.99 (or cheaper if you use my link!! or if you become a member and take advantage of a sweet flash sale!) you can get like 8 articles of clothing with Wittlebee! They have options for thinks like hats, jams, and shoes or swimwear too! You seriously cannot beat the ease, quality, and quantity of clothing for that price! The articles generally coordinate so you can mix and match, so I get at least 4-7 different outfits in a box!

This is from my 2nd box. I noticed that after I gave some feedback in the from of 'notes to my stylist' the box hit our style almost perfectly! That makes me more excited for the next box!

So far, I've gotten 2 boxes. They were NEARLY perfect. Wittlebee recognizes that since you aren't THERE to make the decisions, you may have a few things you don't LOVE. They have a 100% money back guarantee! I even sent an item back. They paid shipping. The new replacement item is sent in my next box. So easy!

We are really into the brand Mis Tee V Us! Such cute stuff! I also like that they have the size 24M, as my son is an inbetween-ie and fits between 18M and 2T.

Oh, and if that's not enough to help you decide that it's not a very scary plunge to take, then consider the fact that you can suspend or cancel your subscription ANYTIME! I currently have mine on hold for a month until the seasons change a bit more here, and it was so easy to do!

A closer look at some of the super cute outfits to mix and match! I love this box! Great for fall and chilly nights that have settled in!

So, start saving on kids clothes. I really wish that there was an option like this for me. Maybe there is! I need to look into it because I am so enjoying this program! It's also REALLY exciting to receive my big white box at my doorstep! I know from the yellow hive on the front that good things will be waiting when we open it!! I love mail, as you all know, and fashionable mail that is for my kiddo is pretty much the best. The only way it could be better is if they included a little chocolate!!! But they DO include a little sticker swag--probably much healthier for me and more fun for my son! Get to it! I'd love to save you $10 on your first box. Please take advantage of my friends and family link that I am sharing with you--my super-fab readers!

If you are thinking about making the move to use Wittlebee for your shopping needs, I'd love for you to use this link! Not only will it save you, my wonderful reader $10 bucks instantly, it will also show the folks at Wittlebee that my readers rock and where you're coming from! As a last word for telling you about how cool I think this company is--they have sales and promotions ALL the time, so if you're thinking it sounds cool but $40 seems like a big commitment (even though it doesn't have to be monthly or on any regular basis at all) stalk the Wittlebee Facebook page and blog a bit--you'll see if you are patient even deeper savings are there to take advantage of! So far, in the last month I've seen 2 Flash Sales and one "You Choose the Savings" sale that resulted in 50 boxes for $9.99 each to some lucky and fast winners!

*I received a complimentary box to complete this review. All opinions are mine and I am now a current member of the Wittlebee Kid's Clothing Club, after reviewing this box, I joined.*

Herbalife - Nutritious & Delicious!!

Many of you have read about my weight in some way or another if you've followed the blog for any amount of time. Baby weight. Losing weight for my wedding. Weight Watchers. Trying to get back into shape... Many of my posts have common themes. I'm motivated to get active, healthy, and happy again and today, I am going to introduce to you my "Adventures with Herbalife!!" (say that in a cool, throaty radio personality voice, for effect!)

I know a lot of folks have heard of it. Many wonder about the products. More wonder about results. Does it taste good? Is it safe? Can my kiddo drink it? Is it restrictive? Can I eat "normal" while using Herbalife??? All of these questions and more will be answered in the coming weeks.
Just to let you all know right up front -- this isn't like watching an infommercial on TV. I'm not going to tell you the Jessica Simpson or some famous person has had great results, etc. Some people have had amazing results. Obviously, as with any program--whether it is deciding to ride your bike 2 miles each night or having meal replacement shakes or training for a marathon--it takes committment and dedication. So, I'm hoping for getting healthier. It would be really stellar too, if you have been curious about Herbalife, to have you learn some things!

I will be posting a few times a week, telling you about products I'm using and how things are going. I'm not going to do any before/after just yet, since you really aren't going to notice if I lose 3 lbs in a picture!

I also want to take the time to introduce to you, a super friendly and high-energy Herbalife Distributor named Dave Peterson. He's a wealth of information about the product and can hook you up with any information or products you are wondering about. If you use Linked In, you can find Dave there by following this link. He can also help you get started with Great Shape Today (GST)! GST is a really motivational online community, full of people that are on their own Herbalife adventures. To purchase Herbalife products, Dave can help you out and help to personalize the products that might best suit your goals. He was super helpful to me and was really fun to chat with on the phone. I like having Dave in my corner, since I can tell he is really passionate about helping people attain healthy lives with the nutrition tools he has personal experience with.

Having a support system is a major part of weight loss and sustainable health, so this is a huge asset to my program. You can read other peoples' stories and also chronicle your own. It's also where you can contact Dave! You can follow Dave on twitter by clicking here. In case you are feeling really inspired and adventurous, Dave can even help you start your own Herbalife business. Since we are all slaves to Facebook these days, you can find Dave there too and "Like" his page by clicking here.

So, I hope you will "join" in my journey. As I said, I will be posting a few times each week, highlighting some products, letting you know what I like, what tastes good, etc. I'd love comments, questions and stories you might have! There may also be some fun ahead--especially for super-interactive readers!! :) Mostly, enjoy!
