Woolzies Dryer Ball Review and Giveaway

Woolzies are awesome. Haven't heard of them? They are dryer balls of course! The perfect accessory for any cloth diaper stash!! (But, they are also so economical, green, and efficient for all of your laundry needs, even if you don't cloth diaper!) Woolzies is one of my FABULOUS and FUN sponsors for the Accessorize Your Stash Giveaway Hop!! Make sure to check out the entire giveaway (and hop around to other blogs, too!) and enter to win some Woolzies through the link at the bottom of this post!

Wool dryer balls entered my life in April of last year and ever since, I've just been so thankful for them! There are SO many reasons why I love dryer balls! Woolzies are SUPER accessories for laundry time!!! So,stick around, learn some awesome facts about them and try for a chance to win a set for yourself! If you just can't wait, you can buy them here.

Cool facts:
  • speed up dry time
  •  they save money
  • they soften laundry
  • they are cloth diaper safe
  • eliminate waste of dryer sheets
  • reusable
  • long-lasting
  • renewable resource
  • chemical-free
Woolzies are bigger than a lot of the dryer balls you see on Etsy and other online vendors. Not only are they bigger, each box of Woolzies contains SIX dryer balls!! That is enough to notice about a 25% decrease in the drying time of a normal load of laundry. You know what that means? Savings on the environment, your pocketbook, and the life of your appliances!! And, the SIX balls are yours for less than $36, which is roughly a little less than $6/ball, a savings of about $2 on average, compared to other companies and shops where you pay around $8 PER ball. I think i'ts AWESOME that you get 6---that's the perfect number to really make a difference in your drying time!

I also think that plain, white, unscented dryer balls are the best. We had some that were scented with essential oils and a fragrance or some kind and I remember having to try to keep certain balls for JUST cloth, since only some were safe. Then, some that had colored wool felted onto them started fraying and the colored fibers would get all tangled in my laundry and diapers. These haven't lost their integrity AT ALL in the month and a half that I've been using them! They are a great size and I love them!

Other perks include the decrease in static and wrinkles in clothing, living a more chemical-free life, and knowing that you are doing something great for the environment. Woolzies are made from 100% New Zealand wool. They are also a fine solution to anyone with wool irritations--you won't have trouble with Woolzies, according to their website information. I don't have a problem with wool, but I do have sensitive skin and we haven't had any complications with these or any dryer balls and our fair-skinned family! We dry almost everything on the line, outside, especially in the summer months, but we DO love the dryer balls even then, since we just slip the crunchy laundry from the line in the dryer for 2-3 minutes to soften them up. Works wonders!

I didn't even know dryer balls existed before using cloth diapers, having a child, and trying to green up my life! Now, after being involved in so many mommy forums and green living groups, I feel like there are so many areas to green up and save money! Wool dryer balls are a great way that EVERYONE can help (and everyone can SAVE!)  You don't have to be a cloth diaper user at all to benefit from them!

Do you think you'll love them? BUY SOME HERE! It's simple! No decisions about colors, scents or anything else! Just order a green box or quality Woolzies!! Have you lost your old dryer balls? Using plastic ones and you'd like to switch to wool? Are you old ones destroyed by cats, kids or use? 1. I had a pair from a competitor, but they quickly fell apart. I'd like to try better quality dryer balls, and I like that these will last at least 500 loads.

  10. I do like that the balls all come together, instead of having to purchase them separately. It's seems much more economical to get a multi-pack.
