Holiday Gift Guide 2016

The season of shopping is upon us! Me? I've got at least SOME of my shopping done and I wanted to share with you some of our favorites (both seasoned repeats that we CANNOT get enough of AND new brands and items that we though YOU needed to know about if you haven't already heard of them!)

This list will be updated each time a Holiday Guide review post is published!

I See Me! This sponsor is one we've worked with at AOM on a few occasions and we are happy to announce they are BACK for 2016! I See Me! specializes in personalized gifts including books that put your child in the action! What a special gift that becomes a keepsake! Great ideas for grandparents to surprise their little loved ones -- especially from miles away!

We've had some fond reading memories made in the last few years courtesy of I See Me! books! We've even started a "holiday book advent" and my kids really look forward to their personal Night Before Christmas tales!

Brick Loot is probably one of the coolest finds of the year that I've happened upon for my older son. Since everyone knows we LOVE subscription boxes, I was happy to find our that this one offers kids LEGO bricks (plus more fun) each month. Great for gifting for those innovative little builders! This is a unique gift that can keep the smiles coming month after month!

A favorite toy company that has been around since I was making lists for Santa, Hasbro keeps kids excited this season with new editions to the Transformers and Nerf product lines, along with TONS of other options for boys and girls around the globe!

Trains are a traditional, fun gift that will last years and may even become an heirloom passed on to generations of grand children! Have you considered a train set for this holiday season? I was never a train kid -- then Chuggington and Thomas came along and I became a train mom. I LOVE that The Whittle Shortline Railroad is compatible with so many other train toys! All aboard!

Help the three little pigs on their adventures as they build their houses and hope to avoid the huffing and puffing, Big Bad Wolf. Kids will love the soft and squeezable Big, Bad Wolf that actually huffs and puffs the pig's houses down! This one is great for all ages and the whole family will be laughing and cajoling at the table as you play out a favorite fairy tale!

The little ones in our lives are so special, and making the season magical is my favorite part of the holidays, but lets not forget the grown-ups! I for one live on coffee and love to occasionally indulge some really GOOD joe. Door County Coffee & Tea Co. can bring you bright mornings (with notes of chocolate and citrus and loads of other undertones and flavors for the holiday season!)

Jakks Pacific has some HOT toys this holiday season! Really -- something for each and every kid or childish adult on your list! We have had some unabashedly gleeful fun with Max Climber and also Beauty and the Beast Be Our Guest Tea Service tea time with our SON as he makes believe and has a blast both with rough and tumble trucks and tea! If you have a Star Wars fan -- you're set! All the BEST Disney characters including newer, popular Moana favorites are well represented!

Mama May I is a wonderful Etsy shop which uses color and creative play ideas and concepts and very organic materials, in-line with Montessori style learning to bring toys to life and encourage family play and together time. We LOVE the scavenger hunts for great grab-n-go travel toys AND the Animal Action game for an easy way to get the wiggles out together at night!
